Forest School
At our school, we are passionate about sharing Forest School experiences with children and believe the proven benefits promote children’s confidence, self -esteem, resilience, risk taking skills, connection with the natural environment and their world around them, team building skills and enjoyment.

The sessions we run will provide opportunities for the following activities and experiences which include:
  • Team Building Activities
  • Den Building
  • Activities with varying natural media
  • Cooking experiences over the Fire Pit
  • To gain and share knowledge on Flora and Fauna
  • Tool use
  • Engagement in the natural environment
  • To compliment current topics delivered within school

Children attending the session will need to be dressed appropriately for the Outdoor Environment and variations in weather:
  • Layers of clothes are suitable as this allows for the change in weather conditions during certain periods of the day.
  • Children will be in close contact with trees, plant material and the woodland floor so will need to be appropriately dressed.
  • Suitable foot wear needs to be worn. Crocks and slip on shoes are not suitable.
  • Sun cream, sun hats, rain coats ,waterproof trousers or winter hats, gloves, thick socks or two pairs of socks, warm coats to be provided as required.
  • Spare clothes to be provided in case a change of clothes is necessary.
