Year 5/6 Football Session - March 2025
The Year 5 and 6 children has a visit from Coach Sarah from the Lincolnshire Football Association who carried out two training sessions - one for the girls as part of the FA initiative #letgirlsplay and one for the boys.
A great time was had by all and there certainly were some rosy red cheeks afterwards! We can't wait to welcome Sarah back again!
Current Y3/4 Inter School League Table - New Age Kurling
Year 5 & 6 Cross Country
Children from Years 5 and 6 travelled to Pinchbeck where they competed against a number of other schools in what was a very cold and muddy day! The team represented our school amazingly and showed great determination and resilience in a sport that many have never participated in before.
New Age Kurling Development Day - January 2025
Alongside our sports partners, Elite, the children all participated in a a development day where they were introduced to the sport of New Age Curling.
Archery Development Day - October 2024
All of our children were lucky enough to spend some time with Mr Johnson from Elite Sports and learn about the sport of archery.
KS1 children took part in target games, which involved catching and throwing, and competed against their peers to score points by throwing the beanbags into hoops.
KS2 children were able to use the bows and arrows and practice their shooting and aiming skills, again competing against their peers to score as many points as they can.
CHAMPIONS!!
After a term of competing against 24 other local Primary Schools. The children reached the final round vs Butterwick School.
We are pleased to announce that the St Gilbert’ Archery Team won with an amazing score of 114! Well done!
Archery League Update
Our Year 3 and 4 children are participating in an 'In House Inter School' Competition this year, competing against other local Primary Schools. The Autumn term sport is Archery and our new sports partners, Elite, have been visiting school and taking our scores regularly.
The children won their group, and more recently won their quarter and semi finals!
We are eagerly awaiting a date for our big final! Watch this space!!
